Welcome to The City of Dundee Burgess Charity
Whilst the Burgesses of Dundee were only re-established a few years ago, the City was partly run by Burgesses over a hundred years ago before Councillors were voted in when democracy was embraced. This Charity now concentrates on our stated objectives which are listed below.
Our Trustees are voted onto the Board of Management by our Members and come from a very broad spectrum of life within the city. This enhances our support and understanding of our fellow Dundonians. The Charity continues to actively fund educational projects and to look at other opportunities where we can help to make a difference.

Our Objective
a) to promote civic pride and community spirit; b) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by means of providing financial aid to individuals; c) the advancement of education; d) any other purpose similar to those stated above.
